Innate immune cells and T CD4 cells profile during hepatitis B among HIV co-infection Beninese

Background: Worldwide, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection remains a real public health. Hepatitis B (HBV) and HIV have the same routes of transmission shared risk factors epidemiology similarities. The purpose this study was to assess impact HBV co-infection on T CD4 cells innate immune cells.Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive carried among 260 persons living with (PLHIV) admitted supported antiviral tri therapy at national reference center for research Care infected person (NRCRC) hospital university in Cotonou, Benin. After PLHIV peripheral blood collection, surface hepatitis antigens (HBsAg) serology were tested using ELISA (Enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay). White cell count leukocyte formula performed flow cytometry. staining anti antibodies, TCD4+ lymphocytes frequency determined Means calculated student test.Results: Of PLHIV, 10.77% (n=28) co-infected HBV. Our data has shown significant decrease very increase including eosinophils, polynuclear basophils monocytes, suggesting an important role during coinfection.Conclusion: coinfection results hyperinflammatory response associated viral clearance. How is mounted still unclear. More are needed better management co-infection.
